Hoops Star, Son of NBA-er Headed to USC

Renaldo Woolridge, who grew up in Sherman Oaks and played at Harvard Westlake, will play at USC next season.

Former Harvard Westlake basketball standout Renaldo Woolridge will complete his college basketball career at the University of Southern California, as was reported by Associated Press on Monday.

The 6-foot-9 Woolridge, who is originally from Sherman Oaks, will graduate from the University of Tennessee this summer with a degree in Sociology. However, after being limited to only eight games during his junior season due to an ankle injury, Woolridge will be granted one more season of eligibility.

Woolridge saw action in each of his three seasons at Tennessee, and last year, averaged 4.3 points and 3.3 rebounds in 25 games.

Woolridge's father is former NBA-er Orlando Woolridge, who played 13 seasons professionally.

Woolridge is also the second cousin of Willis Reed, an NBA Hall of Famer, and the godson of NFL Hall of Famer, Gael Sayers.

I was stopped coming out of the neighborhood by police. They said they were looking for a whiteRead More male, 5'10 with a tan shirt on who they were chasing in a car. He apparently dumped the car near Greenleaf and Davana Terrace and fled in the neighborhood. Not sure what he did or if they caught him.

I have photos of the 4 or 5 armed officers with their dog in tow in my backyard. For some reason IRead More couldn't upload the pix. The streets were blocked off by lapd cars south of Ventura, at Hazeltine and Stansbury avenue. They made us stay inside for At least two hours. We never heard if they caught the tan shirt man or not. We felt well protected however
