Notre Dame Boys Favored Headed Into State Meet

Khalfani Muhammad leads Sherman Oaks Notre Dame into this weekend's CIF-State Track and Field Championships.

The Sherman Oaks Notre Dame boys track squad, according to ESPN.com, is a narrow favorite to win the boys team title at this weekend's CIF-State Track and Field Championships at Buchanan High School.

Junior sprinter Khalfani Muhammad has the State-leading time in both the 100-meter and 200-meter sprints, and is also the anchor for the team's highly ranked relay squad.

ESPN predicts that Notre Dame will score anywhere from 28 to 32 points during the two-day State track meet, narrowly beating out Gardena Serra.
