An anonymous donor is footing the bill for additional fitness equipment for the Van Nuys-Sherman Oaks Recreation Center at 14201 Huston St.
Carolyn Ramsay, the chief of staff for Los Angeles City Council member Tom LaBonge’s office, said their office brokered the donation made by a woman for the expansion of the park.
LaBonge and members of his staff attended a Sherman Oaks Neighborhood Council meeting this week when Ramsay made the announcement.
“She wanted to do it for Sherman Oaks,” Ramsay said. “Anyone who has been out there to use the equipment knows how great it is.”
