Fitness Equipment Comes from Anonymous Donor
Tom LaBonge unveils equipment at the Van Nuys-Sherman Oaks Park.
Councilmember Tom LaBonge unveiled brand-new fitness equipment at Van Nuys-Sherman Oaks Park last week with other members of the Sherman Oaks community. He also revealed plans for an artificial turf soccer field, which will be installed in the coming months.
Councilmember LaBonge received an anonymous donation for this equipment from a resident who shares his belief in physical fitness and good health, and, already, many residents are using the devices.
"Our parks are the green heart of Los Angeles, and a healthy heart makes for a healthy body," Councilmember LaBonge said.
