Police Alert: Thefts Target Toyotas, Hondas in Sherman Oaks, Van Nuys

Detectives issue advisory about stolen cars in the area.

This advisory was issued by the detectives in the Los Angeles Police Department's Van Nuys Division.

Several late-model Honda and Toyota vehicles have been stolen in the Van Nuys Division. Van Nuys area detectives suggest that these vehicles be parked in garages and/or in well lit areas. Other precautions, such as vehicle alarms, cut off switches and brake/steering column locks are also suggested.

And don't forget: "Lock It, Hide It, Keep It."
