Police Arrest Ex-Employee of Man Found Dead in Benedict Canyon Home

Gerson Sanchez, 31, was arrested Sunday afternoon and booked on suspicion of murder in the death of Angelo Armani Eppolito-Autry.

A man who allegedly shot and killed his former employer at the victim's home in the Benedict Canyon area in a dispute over money was in custody today, police announced.

Gerson Sanchez, 31, was arrested Sunday afternoon and booked on suspicion of murder in the death of Angelo Armani Eppolito-Autry, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.

The suspect was being held without bail pending arraignment, which is expected on Tuesday.

The 28-year-old victim's body was found in his home in the 10000 block of Westwanda Drive about 4 p.m. Saturday by a co-worker.

Neighbors reported hearing shots fired at about 3:30 p.m., according to the LAPD.

"Investigators and surveillance officers worked around the clock and arrested ... Sanchez in Lakewood. Sanchez was a former employee of Eppolito- Autry, and the two had an ongoing dispute over money," according to an LAPD statement.
