The three most common crimes committed in the San Fernando Valley are:"smash and grab" thefts from vehicles, home invasion robberies, and distraction burglaries.
The Los Angeles Police Department is promoting a series of videos, produced outside the department, which offer tips on how people can protect themselves against these types of crimes.
