Jessica Simpson's Father Arrested on Suspicion of DUI in Sherman Oaks
The 54-year-old, who also serves as Simpson's manager, is taken into custody on Aug. 4
The 54-year-old father of singers Jessica and Ashlee Simpson was facing a possible drunken driving charge today after being arrested at a police checkpoint on Ventura Boulevard in Sherman Oaks a week ago today.
Joe Simpson, a former minister and psychologist who manages the careers of his daughters, was arrested by Los Angeles police Aug. 4 about 10:15 p.m. on Ventura Boulevard near Columbus Avenue, with a blood-alcohol content of 0.12 percent, according to TMZ.com.
He reportedly spent the night in jail and was released on his own recognizance.
