DUI Checkpoint Planned Saturday in Sherman Oaks

Police will screen for impaired drivers from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Los Angeles police will conduct a sobriety checkpoint on Ventura Boulevard at Columbus Avenue Saturday night.

The checkpoint is planned from 8 p.m. Saturday to 2 a.m. Sunday morning, according to a news release from the Los Angeles Police Department.

Funding for the checkpoint is provided to the LAPD by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Administration.
