Art Opening and Artist Reception November 16, 2-5pm: Carrie Olsen
No Roses Gallery is pleased to announce Fiber Paintings, an exhibition of outstanding mixed-media work by Los Angeles artist Carrie Olsen. The show opens on November 16th, 2013 with an Artist’s Reception from 2:00pm to 5:00pm and continues through December 31, 2013.
Ms. Olsen's delicately stitched and hand-painted fiber artwork is reminiscent of Rothko, de Kooning and other Abstract Expressionist painters. Magnificent color and composition, plus intimate and warm textures are a feast for the eye.
A graduate of Art Center, Carrie Olsen is influenced by color, texture and works in many types of media including fiber, ink and metal. Her work has been featured in juried art exhibitions throughout the Southern California area.

■ William Harrold, jewelry designer: Mr. Harrold's gender-friendly sterling silver band rings and his sculptural pendants are truly art-to-wear.
■ Lauren Born is a successful textile designer and artist. Her hand-painted scarves are works of art for both the eyes and the body.
