The Party Is On!

When I say, “Party!” you say, “Where?”  When I say, “Sherman Oaks” you say “The 23rd Annual Sherman Oaks Chamber Street Fair?”  Yes, you know the place because, more than likely, you have been there many times over the last twenty-two years.  The Sherman Oaks Chamber Street Fair, the Granddaddy of Community Festivals, draws so many visitors to a one-half mile stretch of Ventura Boulevard that it is an “officially designated Los Angeles City Regional Event”.

This year, on Sunday, October 20, the Sherman Oaks Chamber of Commerce will transform a beautifully repaved and renewed section of Ventura Boulevard into an eclectic wonderland.   Josh Rubenstein, CBS Celebrity and Meteorologist, will serve as this year’s Grand Marshal.  And your Sherman Oaks Chamber will continue the strong relationship between education and business that has created donations of over $400,000 to local public schools.  We are fully committed to our community and our schools so we will continue to donate some of the proceeds from our Street Fair to our schools.  And we will once again honor Teachers of the Year from each of our local schools.

Do you like international culture?  I am thrilled to announce that the Sister Cities Of Los Angeles has agreed to present internationally acclaimed musical and dance acts from three continents.  These exotic acts include performers from Africa, Japan, and Mexico.
