This location has been in the Mekpongsatorn family since 1977.  From 1977 until September 2010 we were known as a friendly neighborhood Thai restaurant in Sherman Oaks called Lannathai.

All of our customers remembered us for having a huge pool in the middle of the restaurant. Unfortunately in September 2010, a faulty electrical outlet sparked a fire that took out our entire kitchen resulting in the closure of the restaurant.

10 months later, we re-opened our doors on July 11, 2011 as Noodle World Sherman Oaks. We were going to be the first official Noodle World franchise location. However, shortly after opening, we changed our name to Noodle Star because Noodle World was not quite ready for this endeavor.

The name change was a blessing in disguise because it gave us the freedom to offer more to our customers now that we are not held back by any franchise restrictions.

So whether you are an old Lannathai customer, a Noodle World fanatic, or just a fan of good noodles, stop in and give us a try, and we promise that you will be back for more!
