If you break into a home you should know that there is a good chance you will not leave alive. IRead More think it's a travesty that the victim of a robbery is being prosecuted for protecting his home and property. The "legal" system is no longer a "justice" system. $6 Bil Vanishes From State Dept. Under Hillary Clinton APRIL 07, 2014 In a mind-boggling example ofRead More how the government blows—or perhaps steals—our tax dollars, billions vanished from the U.S. State Department mostly while Hillary Clinton ran it, according to a new alert issued by the agency’s inspector general. Could the former Secretary of State be using the cash to fund an upcoming presidential campaign? In all, $6 billion are missing and it’s highly unlikely any of the money will ever be recovered. The cash was supposed to be used to pay contractors but it just disappeared and documents that could help track the dough cannot be located. How convenient! The paper trail, which federal law says must be maintained in the case of government contracts, has been destroyed or was never created to begin with.

AN ANALYSIS  WORTH READING: by Dick Morris, former political advisor to President Bill ClintonRead More beware as I was there for most of their presidency and know them better than just about anyone, I offer a few corrections; The facts are: Hillary's main extra-curricular activity in law school was helping the Black Panthers, on trial in Connecticut for torturing and killing a federal agent. The facts are:  Hillary interned with Bob Truehaft, the head of the California Communist Party. The facts are:   She flunked the DC bar exam, yes, flunked,  it is a matter of record, and only passed the Arkansas bar. The facts are:  Her main board activity, was to sit on the Wal-Mart board of directors, for a substantial fee. She was silent about their labor and health care practices. The facts are: Her visits abroad were entirely touristic and symbolic and there was no substantive diplomacy on any of them. One cannot think of a single bill Hillary has introduced or a single comment she has made that would tend to strengthen our country in the War on Terror. Think  about it - he's (Dick Morris) said all of this openly, thus if he were not truthful he'd be liable for defamation of  character! And you better believe Hilary would sue him.

I thought there was already a department called "Child Protective Services." Hmm are theyRead More disbanding this inept group after they prosecute all the criminal activity of neglect and disregard amongst themselves and starting a new "get it right" group. Naw didn't think so. Just another way gov't will fleece the public by adding another tier of bureaucracy that will take years to evolve where they'll once again tell you and me they're still earning from their mistakes. My answer: No. Fire the inept. Prosecute those who committed criminal acts within their job; hold the rest accountable to protect those they are chartered to protect

DCFS- the Department of Children and Family Services. The department has lots of issues- but at theRead More same time there are a lot of hard workers who care deeply about what they do. The department administration needs to better support the workers so they CAN do their jobs. The challenge lies in changing the way the department is run- more case workers will help immensely- that will be implemented by Fall. But the case workers need to be trained in organizational skills (filing etc.- sounds mundane but critical when you do not want children to get lost in the shuffle).

@Black Racist of Poetry - The problem with race relations in this country is well, you. I thinkRead More blacks can achieve whatever they set their minds to, and there are numerous examples of that. It was always a measure of racism, whether real or imagined, to think of blacks as being such superior athletes. The implication of course was that they weren't capable of engaging in intellectual pursuits. Here, I state that a goal of affirmative action is to permit them to engage in intellectual activities and you respond by advocating the stereotype of the blacks as being such superior athletes and musicians. You are a real gem, a real credit to the Black Panthers and racists everywhere. By the way, I wouldn't trumpet the black background of rock and roll. Some of us don't like rock and roll. That doesn't mean we don't acknowledge or admire many black musicians. What's even more funny, or in your case, sick, the musicians you mentioned, Beatles, Presley, all acknowledged their debt to black musicians. You are an insult to every black person in this country who seeks to get ahead for himself and his family and rid the country, no the world, of intolerance.

In my opinion the affirmative action ruling has destroyed the higher education system in this country, A college diploma is not worth the paper it's written on any longer. In the old days the cream was allowed to raise to the top as the saying goes and that way you insured that you had the best. That is what made this country and its educational system so good. Eventually the minorities would have been part of that cream and would become the best of the best.(4)J Mclure April 23, 2014 at 10:18 AM outstanding....no more cutting in line.....finally the Supreme court has some balls.(5)aria Young April 23, 2014 at 08:25 AM Its about time. So educational professionals and people that hire these students out of college or high schoolRead More shouldn't have a seat at the table? Who should make curriculum decisions? The local school board member that doesn't know anything about a high quality education? The state government that might think creationism and abstinence only education is still what our children should be learning? I'd rather have the Common Core which brought together education professionals from all of the states to make sure my kids have a leg up when they graduate High School. They also brought in companies that have decades of education or hiring experience. What's wrong with having people that know what they are talking about, setting our policy? I'd rather have professionals making these decisions and not some groups that create facebook pages and youtube videos demonizing Common Core because they don't want to listen to the facts.

Garcetti's big plans for the future of LA do not preclude raping it's citizens to get there. RapingRead More communities with his massive controversial (i.e. Millennium on Vine) developer funder's TOD developments. Using transit expansion as justification for turning our city over to developer's massive projects, giving them carte blanche to do what they want. Keeping unqualified Villaraigosa appointed head of planning, LoGrande, to continue efforts to disband all zoning laws and codes to make it even easier for developer/community rapists to build what they want, where they want. And charging it's citizens mightily to make up for his failures as president of city council, for years voting to support unions that turned their backs on him and supported Wendy Greuel (and he buried her with their betrayal), and trying to make up for the deficit he played no small part in, now charging the citizens of LA for his ineptness, with potential tax increases. Please read Jack Humphreville's brilliant analysis. http://citywatchla.com/lead-stories-hidden/6776-silly-season-at-city-hall "But what we will not hear is that this billion dollar budget deficit was caused by the fiscally irresponsible City Council who agreed to massive increases in salaries, pensions, and benefits that outstripped the growth in revenues by $500 to $700 million a year. This deficit was financed on the backs of Angelenos by cutting back on the repair and maintenance of our already potholed streets and cracked sidewalks. We will also hear the drum beat for the half cent increase in our sales tax to 9½% to fund the repair our streets and sidewalks. But what we will not hear is that there are viable alternatives to fund the repair of our streets and sidewalks without the need to increase our sales tax to a job killing 9½%, one of the highest in the nation. NOR WILL WE HEAR THAT *MOVE LA, A POLITICALLY POWERFUL TRANSPORTATION ADVOCATE WANTS TO INCREASE OUR SALES TAX BY ANOTHER HALF A CENT, RESULTING IN A SALES TAX OF 10%, THE HIGHEST IN THE NATION Nor will we hear about ending hundreds of millions in giveaways to well-connected real estate developers in DTLA...." * MoveLA not only will enable the rape of our communities with massive TOD's (which cause more traffic),but also wants more tax money out of Angelenos for Garcetti's expanded public transit plan and continued sale of our city to his developer buddies.. Enough is enough!

The City deciding to end the red light enforcement came about behind the scenes in a little knownRead More way. The City Council discovered to their dismay that the Judges and Commissioners were dismissing red light tickets and they still havn't figured out why. I received one of those tickets and noted that the picture was a generic person- not necessarily me, an it had bangs which I did not wear. The law requires that the picture be a good likeness of the driver. As a portrait artist I realised that the picture had been doctored as it probably was unclear. I researched and discovered that a company from back east was paid to handle these tickets. I telephoned them and they admitted that they hired artists to "fix" the pictures so that it would comply with the California law. Doctoring the evidence is a no no to the courts and to justice. Additionally, under the Constitution you have the right to confront your accuser. When you go to court a traffic officer who was not a witness to the "crime' is tha accuser. He has not witnessed the infraction and indeed he has not had the evidence solely in his possession. The chain has been broken when the server sent the "evidence" to Delaware- or wherever it was. The Corporate heads also told me that their artists handled the evidence and re did the "retouch" as often as they needed to to try to get it to look like your licesne photo. Boy was the chain of evidence broken. I telephoned the Presiding Judge of the Criminal Division, in Los Angeles, to tell her of what was going on. She was shocked at the unconstitutionality of it and she asked me to call the head of the group that teaches the Commissioners and to let them see how clearly inconstitutional it was. She offered to speak to City Council on the matter, but said that they would have to invite her. I called Council members. They did not extend an invitation to her. The Judges and Commissioners were ordered to dismiss all cases that came via the Corporation that contracted with the City to handle red light cases, because of the unconstitutional way they were handled. To this day the City does not know why.
Ziegler April 22, 2014 at 05:28 pm
I meant to mention one more legalistic observation that I may not have made clear but is veryRead More important, that I brought to the Presiding Judge. The evidence has to be at all times in the care custody and control of the officer witness/ accuser. If the chain of evidence is broken or if the evidence has been " tampered" with, such as fixing the photos to be more clear and more like the person, it is damaged and can no longer be used as evidence.
