Little League Opens 60th Season

On Saturday morning the Sherman Oaks Little League will celebrate its 60th opening day at Majors Field.

The kids are ready, the bats and balls will be out there, the weather is expected to be spring like, so get ready to hear the crack of the bat as the Sherman Oaks Little League, which began in 1952, will open its 60th season.

It will happen at Majors Field, 10 a.m., 14230 Magnolia Blvd. Parents are urged to arrive at about 9:15 a.m. because parking will be tight.

Congressman Howard Berman will be a special guest, but his birth certificate indicates that he is definitely too old to play.
