It’s election year, and that applies to the Los Angeles Neighborhood Council system as well.
This is not your typical election, and you don't have to be a registered voter to vote. You just have to be a "Stakeholder" in Studio City (see what that means here.)
The Studio City Neighborhood Council (SCNC) will hold board elections on Thursday, September 20 at from 2:30 pm – 8:30 pm.
As a Stakeholder, you can qualify for multiple stakeholder categories and vote for more than one ballot. All voters will receive an At-Large ballot. The SCNC has 16 elected Board seats and there are 7 different Board categories.
For example, if you work at (only the one in Studio City) you can vote in the EMPLOYEES/INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS race and in the AT-LARGE race, even if you do not live or own property in the area.
If you are at least 18 years of age on the day of the election who legally provides goods or services for compensation in Studio City and maintain a City business license or owns business real property in Studio City you can vote in the BUSINESS OWNER category and the AT-LARGE race.
