Whatever Happened to the Pothole Lottery?

The Sherman Oaks Neighborhood Council promised to fix the worst potholes in town, but so far the work has not begun.

Back in May, the Sherman Oaks Neighborhood Council promised to fix the worst potholes in Sherman Oaks. A "pothole lottery" was announced to invite residents to identify the worst ones. A list of the top 10 potholes was then compiled by the Neighborhood Services Committee, with the "winner" at the top of the list being a deep pothole on Rayneta Drive.

So far, nothing has been done.

Jeff Ebenstein, vice president of the Neighborhood Council, said it would be "not too much longer" before the potholes are fixed, and that inspections needed to be done first.
