USC Online Poll Shows Sherman With Lead Over Berman

As Tuesday's primary draws near, a recently conducted online poll shows Brad Sherman with an edge over Howard Berman in the 30th Congressional District race.

An online poll that will be released Sunday, just two days before Tuesday's primary, shows Democratic representative Brad Sherman with a slight lead over fellow Democratic representative Howard Berman in the 30th Congressional District race. 

The poll, which was conducted by USC, included 300 registered voters within the newly-formed district. Numbers show Sherman with 31.7 percent of the vote and Berman with 24 percent of the vote. 

Mark Reed nabbed 9.8 percent of the vote to lead Republican candidates.

The poll has a margin of error of 5.4 percent and 23.4 percent of voters are undecided, according to the poll.

The newly-formed 30th district includes over 50 percent of Sherman's former district, compared to about 25 percent of Berman's former district.
