VIDEO: Seniors in Sherman Oaks Fear Budget Cuts

Older adults in Sherman Oaks who are frail and disabled are concerned that cuts in federal programs will make it hard for them to remain in their homes. Meet two of these seniors in this video report from Sherman Oaks Patch Editor Doug Kriegel.

Projected reductions in programs would reduce support for home care in California to levels not seen in almost 30 years, according to a UCLA study.

The number of seniors over the age of 60 will increase by 70 percent in the next 20 years, according to the UCLA Elder Population Report.
