Pot Shops Will Be Issue for Trutanich

Now that City Attorney Carmen Trutanich has announced he is running for District Attorney, it's worth recalling his recent visits to Sherman Oaks where he talked about cracking down on the medical marijuana dispensaries. See accompanying video.

On Thursday, Trutanich announced that he is entering the race for district attorney, saying that he decided to run in the June 5 election because of District Attorney Steve Cooley's decision not to seek a fourth term.

For months, Carmen Trutanich insisted that he had made no decision on whether to run for Los Angeles County District Attorney, even as he had raised nearly $1 million in campaign contributions.
