Mayoral Candidates Attack Greuel at Debate Hosted by Sherman Oaks Homeowners Assn.

The event takes place at Notre Dame High School.

L.A. City Controller Wendy Greuel was the focus of the majority of attacks from her three opponents in Los Angeles mayor's race Wednesday during a debate sponsored by the Sherman Oaks Homeowners Assn., according to the Los Angeles Times.

Former federal prosecutor Kevin James, City Councilman Eric Garcetti and Councilwoman Jan Perry focused most of their energy at Greuel, according to the story. Greuel used to represent parts of the San Fernando Valley, including North Hollywood and Studio City, when she served on the L.A. City Council.

The controller described herself as "business friendly," noting her family's ownership of a company in North Hollywood, and was grilled by her opponents about her positions on the city’s business tax and her financial aid from the union representing Department of Water and Power, according to the story.
