How Residents of L.A. City Council District 4 Voted in the 2012 Election

Voters give overwhelming support for President Obama but are torn on Measure B.

Residents of Hollywood, the Hollywood Hills, Toluca Lake, Los Feliz, Sherman Oaks and other neighborhoods in Los Angeles Council District 4 voted overwhelmingly for President Obama in Tuesday's election by about a 4-to-1 ratio.

Most outcomes in CD4 showed a clear preference in the district among voters, but they were most torn on Measure B, the controversial measure that passed and now requires condoms to be used in pornographic films shot in the county. About 1,300 more voters were opposed to the measure than were for it in CD4.

Data of election returns provided by the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder's office, broken down by city council district, show more than 80,865 of District 4's registered voters cast ballots, about 55.6 percent.

Residents of District 4 are represented by Councilman Tom LaBonge.
