Van Nuys

One motorcyclist was killed and a second one injured while racing down a street in Van Nuys Saturday, a police sergeant said.

The crash was on Woodley Avenue near Victory Boulevard at about 3:30 a.m., said Los Angeles police Sgt. David Delgado of the Valley Traffic Division.

One motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Paramedics rushed the other one to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Delgado said.

The police sergeant said alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the crash.

Police said Woodley Avenue, between Burbank and Victory boulevards, was to be closed until noon to allow a safe work place for the crash investigation.

All of Los Angeles County does not have a place for Spectating & Participating in "Drag Racing" at a Legal track - besides driving all the way to: " Pomona". We used to have: "Los Angeles County Raceway" but that was taken out! I'm sure that someone can afford constructing a Legalized place that can entertain Drag Racers! Attracting: the Santa Clarita, Antelope, & San Fernando Valley, On 110th East from Plamdale blvd to ave O there are 2 miles of Emptiness. 1/4 MILE TRACK, Bleachers and parking area could be constructed right here / to attract nearly 7 million people & mainly: "RACERS" to this vicinity. Make this discovery - all of Los Angeles County could have a Legal Drag Racing Strip for a fun track to compete at! No Traffic jams or Air Polution are ever out here in: "Lake Los Angeles"; I see potential giant gains in Income for a smart person to invest in building a future track; representing just what L.A. County needs - to keep all streets a safer place to drive, and a great sport that is always alot of fun; where no Innocent people will get killed by these described: "Street Racers" that everyone seems to Unfortunately hate; I know this very well from my younger days. "Team Kawasaki" Drag Racing... From: "STEVE F" Let's work this out by joining Together! kz1200@roadrunner.com Are there any anxious Real Estate Investors - Then Please Don't look at a good profitable thing; but ignore it later on!
