Two Accidents Within 7 Minutes on 101 Freeway

The 101 Freeway was the scene of two accidents within 7 minutes, both occurred after 2 a.m.

 The California Highway Patrol and Los Angeles Fire Department responded to two traffic accidents within seven minutes of each other on a one-mile stretch of the Ventura (101) Freeway Monday morning, a CHP officer said.

The first, at 2:11 a.m., involved a BMW traveling westbound on the
Ventura Freeway at more than 100 miles per hour when it overturned at Woodman Avenue, Officer Patrick Kimball, in the Traffic Management Center said.

There was no word of any injuries, he said. A CHP-related traffic collision occurred at 2:18 a.m., on the VenturaFreeway at Van Nuys Boulevard, Kimball said.

The officers reportedly complained of minor neck and back pain and were
transported to a hospital. A 39-year-old woman was also transported to a
hospital.
