Police Blotter: 2 Violent Crimes, Burglaries and Car Thefts
The data below, compiled by the Los Angeles Times, shows that crime in Sherman Oaks during Nov. 15-21 was higher than in neighboring cities.
In the seven days ending Nov. 21, there were two violent crimes and 24 property crimes, according to Los Angeles Police Department data, compiled by the Los Angeles Times.
By comparison, during the past three months, Sherman Oaks averaged 1.8 crimes and 27.5 property crimes per week, so the Nov. 15-21 crime figures are below the three-month average.
This week's rate of 4.0 crimes per 10,000 people is lower than in nearby Studio City, Encino, Van Nuys and Valley Village, according to the Times.
