Police Alert: Theft From Vehicles

No question about it, the most common crime committed in Sherman Oaks involves thefts from vehicles. Every week, our police blotter indicates that articles stolen from cars leads the list of crimes committed here.

In reponse to this, the Los Angeles Police Department has issued this reminder to people, tips to help reduce the probability of becoming a victim.

Due to recent thefts of property from unlocked vehicles, please remember to properly secure your vehicle when left unattended. As a reminder, please remove your valuables as well & avoid parking in isolated spots. Finally, remember to "Lock it, Hide it, Keep it", our campaign against the crime of (Burglary theft of Motor Vehicle).
