Hilton was at her Sherman Oaks home when an intruder banged on the windows, according to reports.

Sherman Oaks resident Paris Hilton was expected to testify in a Van Nuys courtroom this week in the case of a man accused of attempting to break into her home on Mulholland Drive.

Jury selection is to begin Tuesday, with opening arguments expected on Wednesday. Hilton could testify as early as Wednesday afternoon according to sources in the Los Angeles County District Attorneys office.

Police reports of the August incident say a man was arrested at Hilton's residence at about 6:30 a.m.

The man arrested outside Hilton's home, 31-year-old Nathan Lee Parada, was charged with one felony count of attempted residential burglary. Parada did not make the $50,000 bail and he's been in custody since his arrest.

Police have said it is unclear whether the suspect targeted Hilton or if it was a random incident.
