National Night Out Set for Tuesday

The Van Nuys Community Police Station will be held the 29th Annual National Night Out on Tuesday.

The 29th Annual National Night Out will be held Tuesday night at the Van Nuys Community Police Station, hosted by Capt. Paul Snell and the Los Angeles Police Department's Van Nuys Division. 

Residents throughout the San Fernando Valley are encouraged to attend and learn more about anti-crime techniques they can perform in their communities.

The festivities will kick off at 6 p.m., and several businesses will have booths set up at the event. There will also be food and a free movie under the stars.

The event is organized in order to bring the community together and keep residents informed regarding public safety and drug prevention. 

The national event is put on by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW). According to the NATW website, over 15,000 communities across America participate in National Night Out.
