A 50-year-old man has been attacked by assailants wearing ski masks in the 13100 block of Riverside Drive in Sherman Oaks, police say.
The assault took place near the Riverside Drive Elementary School at about 4:30 Wednesday morning.
The man was not robbed, according to a Los Angeles police sergeant who spoke to a news photographer at the scene.
He was taken to a hospital but his condition was not immediately available.
