Firefighters Find Possible Pot-Growing Operation at Strip Mall

The discovery is made after LAFD personnel respond to a blaze on the 7300 block of North Fulton Avenue.

Firefighters notified police Monday after putting out a fire in what appeared to be a pot-growing operation in a North Hollywood strip mall. (Editor's note: This story originally reported the location as being in Van Nuys.)

The fire was reported at 8:50 a.m. in the 7300 block of North Fulton Avenue, and was extinguished in about 20 minutes, said Katherine Main of the Los Angeles Fire Department. No injuries were reported.

Firefighters notified police that a possible marijuana-growing operation was found at the site, Main said. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
