Structure Fire Extinguished on Martha Street

The blaze at 14918 W. Martha St. is knocked down in less than 20 minutes.

A fire that started outside a structure in Van Nuys then spread into the building's attic was knocked down in 17 minutes Friday night.

The fire was reported at 10:47 p.m. at 14918 Martha St. in a residential neighborhood just north of Burbank Boulevard, said David Ortiz of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Around 40 firefighters responded to the blaze, Ortiz said.
