Celebrate Meatless Mondays At These Veggie-Friendly Eateries

Don't worry, it's completely optional to observe Los Angeles City Council's newest approved resolution.

Earlier this week, Los Angeles City Council approved a resolution to observe "Meatless Mondays," making L.A. the largest city to declare their support for the movement.

The resolution was introduced by Councilmembers Jan Perry and Ed Reyes as a way to "support comprehensive sustainability efforts as well as to further encourage residents to eat a more varied plant-based diet to protect their health and protect animals."

But no need to worry - observing the weekly "holiday" is entirely optional for Angelenos. What's more, November is World Vegan Month. If you're looking to celebrate Meatless Mondays (or Veganovember), here are some local restaurants that are vegetarian- or vegan-friendly.

I was stopped coming out of the neighborhood by police. They said they were looking for a whiteRead More male, 5'10 with a tan shirt on who they were chasing in a car. He apparently dumped the car near Greenleaf and Davana Terrace and fled in the neighborhood. Not sure what he did or if they caught him.

I have photos of the 4 or 5 armed officers with their dog in tow in my backyard. For some reason IRead More couldn't upload the pix. The streets were blocked off by lapd cars south of Ventura, at Hazeltine and Stansbury avenue. They made us stay inside for At least two hours. We never heard if they caught the tan shirt man or not. We felt well protected however
