STUDIO CITY FILM FESTIVAL TAKES PLACE JUNE 4TH TO JUNE 8TH.

The Second Annual Studio City Film Festival kicks off on Wednesday, June 4th, at the CAP Studio Theater, (13752 Ventura Blvd. ) and will run to Sunday, June 8th.

On awards night, June 8th, the festival will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release of the landmark film “Once Were Warriors,” by honoring the film’s star, Rena Owen, who will be in attendance.

The festival will screen 90  films and include features, shorts, documentaries and music videos. Countries from all over the world are represented, but there is a special emphasis given to local filmmakers,  says Festival co-founder Steve Sturla.

“We are thrilled at the quality of submissions from Studio City and Sherman Oaks residents,” says Sturla. We definitely want this festival to have a local flavor. It is our intention for the Studio City Film Festival to be around for a long time and be something area residents can be proud of.”

Tickets can be purchased online by visiting the festival website at www.studiocityfilmfestival.com.
