Councilmember LaBonge has worked closely with the Los Angeles Department of Transportation to address recent complaints about certain Sherman Oaks intersections. The malfunctioning intersection at Ventura and Hazeltine will be repaired.
Currently, censors in the street are broken, the pedestrian crossing button is jammed, and this has resulted in every signal cycle having extended pedestrian crossing times. LADOT is also changing out the signal's computer to ensure that it is functioning properly.
Secondly, the relatively new signal at Woodcliff and Mulholland has made turns safer. LADOT has extended the morning peak hour green arrow time on Woodcliff to eastbound and westbound Mulholland.
This will alleviate congestion on Woodcliff for vehicles waiting to get onto Mulholland. Please feel free to contact Councilmember LaBonge with the results of these changes and other concerns. Give your thanks to LADOT staff for looking into these concerns and making changes when necessary.
