Where Are the Best Halloween Decorations in Sherman Oaks and Van Nuys?

A teacher who lives in Van Nuys has one of the neighborhood's most haunted and spooky-looking houses around. His family decorates the house closer to Halloween. 

But, when you're doing that, be careful. This weekend is the time that many houses will be doing some heavy-duty decorating for Halloween. The Los Angeles Fire Department and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention say that this weekend is potentially the second most dangerous home-decorating time of the year (the top one is the first weekend of December when people are stringing lights on their rooftops.)

But, already Patch has caught a few homes in the Halloween spirit.

Here are a few houses around the Sherman Oaks Elementary School area. But we know there are a lot more out there.
