36th Annual San Fernando Valley CROP Hunger Walk

CROP Hunger Walks are community-wide events sponsored by Church World Service and organized by local congregations to raise funds to end hunger at home and around the world.

Hungry people in developing countries typically walk as much as six miles a day to get food, water and fuel, and to take their goods to market. We walk to be in solidarity with their struggle for existence. We walk because we want to end hunger – one step at a time.

On Sunday November 13th, the Church of the Chimes will host the 36th annual San Fernando Valley CROP Hunger 5K Walk, 10K FUN RUN and a Tot walk around the church property.

Last year, 250 San Fernando Valley Walkers raised nearly $21,000 to help provide food, water, and hope to communities and families throughout the Valley and around the world.

If you want to walk or sponsor a walker please pick up a walker packet in the church office or you can sign up on-line. Make sure you note that you are part of the "Church of the Chimes” Team.

We also need volunteers to help the day of the event with setup, registration, water stations and cleanup at the end of the walk.
