OM, My Goodness! Something new for the home hostess

The following entry is for “grown-ups” over 21:

The launch of OM Cocktails, a luscious line of organic pour-and-go cocktails gives me an opportunity to give one of America’s most innovative mixologists, Natalie Bovis (a.k.a. The Liquid Muse) another shout out. She perhaps someday may supplant Martha Stewart as a consummate authority on home entertaining with spirits. Case in point: Her “Edible Cocktails” book, which was prominently on display—and should be on every woman’s coffee table or kitchen bookshelf.

At the Peninsula Hotel Beverly Hills, OM Cocktails made its red carpet debut with a spread of fresh vegetables, dips, tuna and cheeses, with Natalie Bovis and entrepreneur Jason Monkarsh presiding. Natalie designed OM cocktails for the home entertainer who wants to serve mixology style drinks to the most discerning of guests, without having to spend an entire day at Whole Foods sourcing organic ingredients. Gone are the awful, chemical-y flavors of pre-mixed mixologist-in-a-bottle products. Of course, if you want to impress your friends, you can do a little mixing.  All three flavors (Meyer Lemon/Ginger, Cocoanut/Lychee and Cranberry/Blood Orange) are great when mixed with some sparkling water or champagne.

OM is a feel good purchase in more ways than one. The company also plants a tree for every bottle you buy, uses non toxic water based inks, glass reduced eco-bottles with labels printed at a carbon neutral wind-powered facility, and use 75% post consumer recycled shipping cases.
