Got fresh fruit? Tonight, I went to my local market after work to get groceries and, lo and behold, there were virtually no fresh tomatoes, avocados, or strawberries. Other fresh produce was also scarce. I am not sure why that was the case, although I overheard someone say that there is some sort of labor contract issue that prevented delivery of any fruit. So what was I to do?????????????????
This dilemma may not seem very important to you, but I have a confession to make – I have become addicted. And it occurred to me right then that the only intervention I can count on for my addiction is the Sherman Oaks Community Farmers’ Market, held each and every Saturday morning from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM just west of Sepulveda and south of the 101 Freeway (north of the Galleria). Where else can I find the amazing food goods that will give me what I need, rain or shine? And with plenty of wonderful in-and-out free parking, great prepared foods, and free entertainment as well.

The Sherman Oaks Chamber of Commerce owns and operates this new weekly California Certified Farmers’ Market. The SOC Famers’ Market provides only the freshest and finest California fruits and vegetables. Here, farmers sell produce directly to you. There are no middlemen or union contracts to keep the delicious farm goods from your table. So you know exactly where I am going to be this Saturday morning. I will be at the Sherman Oaks Community Farmers’ Market. I need my organically grown fruits and veggies fix! Don’t you?
