Messe de Minuit pour Noel by Charpentier and Selections from Handel’s Messiah

The St. Francis de Sales Choir, under the direction of Jeannine Wagner, will perform the Messe de Minuit pour Noel by Marc-Antoine Charpentier and selections from Handel’s Messiah for Midnight Mass and Christmas Day. The choir will be accompanied by a string quartet and noted organist Stephen Park. All are welcome to enjoy this sublime music in the acoustically spectacular St. Francis de Sales sanctuary. The choir will sing traditional Christmas carols before Midnight Mass. Founded in 1949, the St. Francis de Sales Choir is one of the leading Church choral groups in Southern California. Throughout the years, choir membership has been comprised of singers from the parish (several are founding members), as well as vocalists from the Los Angeles Opera, the Wagner Ensemble and the Los Angeles Master Chorale.

Sun. Dec. 25, 2011
