Primitive and Naive? You Bet!
Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Bobbie Rich was drawn to the West Coast by the vibrant LA art scene and promises of learning from accomplished artists, art and academic scholarships.
Now a permanent local, Bobbie creates her primitive style images outside under nature's lighting. Her blind contour method transform sterile, perfect images into bold, colorful, whimsical satire.
Her current series of naive paintings is inspired by world travels - the culture, costumes, architecture and decorative works she encounters. Bobbie's art is featured in private collections in Florence, Kuwait, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Denver and more.
No Roses Gallery in Sherman Oaks is honored to feature this talented lady's body of work.
Rich's show Satire is on exhibit from August 21st through September 30th.
