Traffic Blockage from Both Ends of Sherman Oaks

The I-405 will also be closed on Saturday, but at night.

On the debut day of Coldwater Canyon being closed for a month, another major thoroughfare on the other side of Sherman Oaks, the 405 San Diego Freeway, will be closed as well.

The San Diego Freeway, however, will be closed at night while the Coldwater Canyon thoroughfare will be closed during the daytime.

District 2 City Councilman Paul Krekorian told a crowd of concerned Sherman Oaks and Studio City residents last week that he would make sure that all other maintenance projects be aware also of the Coldwater closure and try to impact it as little as possible.

The I-405 Sepulveda Pass Improvements Project contractor is scheduled to implement a full directional northbound I-405 freeway closure for approximately four miles between the Getty Center Dr. ramps to the 101 freeway.

The contractor will continue to install falsework structures for the reconstruction of the Mulholland Bridge. Similar work was previously performed on the southbound I-405 on March 8.
