Talk of the Town: When Will Ralphs Market Close?
Many people in Sherman Oaks are wondering: when will Ralphs Market at Ventura and Hazeltine be closed and torn down?
There was a major difference of opinion on whether would be allowed to build a new and much larger store on its site at the corner of Ventura Boulevard and Hazeltine Avenue.
The Sherman Oaks Homeowners Association objected to the size of the proposed market, but ultimately, Ralphs won the right to tear the current structure down and put up a new, and much larger supermarket.
Many residents who shop at Ralphs are wondering when the market will close.

The answer: Ralphs is planning to close during the second week in October, according to manager Roubich Andriasian. It is estimated that construction of the new Ralphs Fresh Faire will take about one year.
