Streets Around Sepulveda Dam and Basin Still Closed Due to Storm Debris

The West Valley LAPD have closed three routes in Encino until the end of the week.

Encino is still suffering from the after effects of the weekend of March 20–21.

Senior Lead Officer Rob Trulik said that streets around the Sepulveda basin and dam remain closed because of storm debris.

Officer Jason Goode said there are three affected areas: westbound traffic on Burbank Boulevard from the 405 freeway; eastbound traffic on Burbank Boulevard from Hayvenhurst Avenue; and southbound traffic on Woodley Avenue from Victory Boulevard.

Trulik said that there were "multiple inches of mud and debris" on the streets, and that cleanup operations have not yet started. The LAPD had to wait for a "clear forecast" to ensure that more stormy weather was not on the way.

Now that the skies are sunny, the clearing of debris will begin. The affected routes should be open to traffic sometime between Friday and Sunday, depending on the speed of cleanup operations.
