Beautiful Places Can Be Found Along L.A. River
Take a walk along portions of the Los Angeles River in the west San Fernando Valley and you will find serenity and shade.
The Los Angeles River's official starting point is behind the bleachers at the Canoga Park High School football field, according to Kevin Roderick's excellent history book, The San Fernando Valley, America's Suburb.
"Most of the river's flow across the west Valley is underground," Roderick says. But there are areas where you can enjoy wildlife, greenery and lush trees.
