  • Not too far from the Skirball Center is another fantastic museum, The Getty Center, also located off of Sepulveda Boulevard.  It’s also a bit of a drive but it is well worth it because there is so much to see and do at the Getty.  Whether you’re just walking around and taking in the architecture and natural outside beauty, or looking at an exhibition, there is always plenty to see and do here!  There is a brand new exhibit to see and it is running until June 19th, 2011. “Spirit of an Age: Drawings from the Germanic World, 1770-1900” unveils recent acquisitions that show the multitude of changes the Germanic world underwent during that time period.  The exhibit includes about 40 German and Austrian drawings and watercolors, and this exhibit is not to be missed if you enjoy the realm of art history.
