Former Sherman Oaks Patch Editor Doug Kriegel Returns to TV
"The Drive-By Economist" debuts Thursday on PBS So Cal.
The former editor of Sherman Oaks Patch, Doug Kriegel, is returning to the television airwaves on Thursday with The Drive-By Economist, a show that will debut on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. PBS So Cal.
Before launching Sherman Oaks Patch in 2010, Kriegel, who lives in Encino, spent 31 years as a TV reporter for KNBC. He left Patch in 2012 and is now producing and hosting The Drive-By Economist.
"It has always bothered me that the huge Southern California economy receives very little coverage on local television, this broadcast looks at the So Cal economy from the inside, with people oriented stories," Kriegel said in an email.
