Charlie Sheen's Home Up for Sale

Is the actor leaving Sherman Oaks or just moving around the corner?

Sherman Oaks resident Charlie Sheen listed his Mulholland Estates home on May 26 for $7.2 million, according to the Multiple Listing Service. The real estate agent named on the MLS listing is Marty Trugman of Teles Properties, who was unavailable for comment.

According to listing information, the actor's 7,924-square-foot Mediterranean-style house has five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a swimming pool and a Jacuzzi, and sits on a 20,203-square-foot lot. There are plenty of amenities listed that should make the home very appealing to a buyer shopping in that price range.

The house features an outdoor kitchen, which can be seen on this "Funny or Die" cooking video Sheen posted on YouTube.com in March, shortly after being fired from the CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men.

In April, it was reported that Sheen purchased a larger, six-bedroom, nine-bathroom home around the corner from the house he has listed. There is speculation he may be moving into that home, but efforts to reach Sheen for confirmation have been unsuccessful.

According to Zillow.com, the house was built in 1995 and Sheen purchased it in 1997.

Sheen recently has been touring around the country, performing his "Torpedo of Truth" stand-up act to mixed reviews after it became clear CBS was not going to hire him back.

CBS announced in a statement on May 13 that they have hired Ashton Kutcher to replace Sheen in Two and a Half Men. Sheen tweeted congratulations to the actor on the new gig the same day.

"#Winning Congrats to the cast and crew...CBS & WB..! My best to @aplusk !! The show must go on... You got the right guy! c," Sheen tweeted.

Kutcher confirmed in a statement he was ready for the new job.

"I can't wait to get to work with this ridiculously talented 2.5 team and I believe we can fill the stage with laughter that will echo in viewers' homes—I can't replace Charlie Sheen but I'm going to work my ass off to entertain the hell out of people," Kutcher wrote.

The show's creator and executive producer, Chuck Lorre, expressed relief about the recent decision.

“If I was any happier, it'd be illegal, " Lorre said in the statement.
