Alex Trebek Out of 'Jeopardy!' After Suffering Heart Attack

The longtime local resident recuperates at home in Studio City.

Longtime Studio City resident and Jeopardy! host returned home on Sunday after being admitted into Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Saturday with a mild heart attack, according to reports.

Trebek has no plans to leave the show, and plans to return to work for at least two more years to retire in the show's 30th year.

"Trebek is in good spirits and is currently under observation and undergoing further testing," Sony Pictures Television, the show's distributor, said Sunday. "He is expected to fully recover and be back at 'Jeopardy!' when production begins taping in July for the new season, the show's 29th."

He has hosted numerous game shows in the United States and his native Canada, including "High Rollers" and "Pitfall."
