Community Update

Last night at Champsfest 2013 my son was there and not 20 feet away from him a student from Champs Charter was hit with a mallet or hammer in the back of the head by a kid who did not go to Champs he was thought to be in middle school and possible on drugs. The students skull was cracked open and he was bleeding everywhere, it was a traumatic experience for all of the students who attended Champsfest 2013 music festival.. When I got there to pick
up my son there was 2 ambulances, police fire trucks and the kid who did this was taken away and hand cuffed to something in a room to be questioned... I believe the kid was in middle school and possible on drugs... I would like to know what happened if the kid was charged and if the student who was injured is okay. I was shocked to see that nothing was reported about this incident and I am going to speak with our principal tomorrow at Champs to find out more details... The Champsfest was held yesterday May 18 at Milikan Middle School it started at 10 am and ended at 10 p.m. Please report what happened I am worries for our children's safety at future events...
