Sherman Oaks Ranks Average in the Walkability Ratings

The local neighborhood, where sidewalks are scarce, ranks 42 in Los Angeles.

Sherman Oaks ranks rather "average" in the walkability ratings of Los Angeles, at #42..

Studio City ranked 22 in the San Fernando Valley is North Hollywood at 26th, then Valley Village at 29th and Toluca Lake ranked 31.

This is all according to data provided by WalkScore.com, which ranks a city's walkability by measuring the proximity of individual addresses to various local resources, based on location and population data from the 2010 Census.

With a score of 65, as "somewhat walkable," Sherman Oaks gets some high scores for the walkable part of Ventura Boulevard and some parks.

The Walk Score ranks Downtown and Koreatown as the most walkable in the city, and West Hollywood as one of the most walkable cities in the area (and country).
